How to manipulate the graphs

Manipulation of the lay-out of the graphs is quite easy by using the standard Excel features.
(Remark : the examples below were made in Excel 2003, the lay-out of Excel 2007 is slightly different but provides the same functionality)

However the Pivot Graphs allow some less known possibilities, some of them will be shown here below.

Anyhow its worthwhile to experiment with these features.

The M-charts have in the start-up layout 3 selection boxes that can be opened by clicking on the down-arrow:

On top

At the bottom

On the right site

 

Selecting Mechanisms

In the 'Top' example selection is done by clicking on the option (only 1 option), in the 'Bottom' and 'Right' examples, selection is done by selection boxes (multiple selection).

Switching axes

One can easely swith the axis where data are displayed by dragging and dropping the selection box.
